The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a basic design that's not as visually striking as some of the competition, but it has enough features that make it a great choice. In my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a good performance but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a “smudge resistant” finish.
